I purchased a brand new 2026 Hyundai Palisade in Stamford December 2025, and within weeks of ownership, I began experiencing serious mechanical issues. Since February, I have brought this vehicle in for service 4 times at my local Hyundai in Milford due to the engine light coming. They don’t provide loaners, unless you speak with a manager and don’t reimburse you for uber/lyft. So I decided to take my car to Hyundai Stamford since that’s where I purchased the car. The car has been dropped off at that location about 4-6 times the same recurring engine problem. Each visit follows the same pattern: the dealership reads the engine code, holds the car for days, then calls to say it’s ready — only for the issue to return almost immediately. Most recently, the car was kept for over a week. I was told the camshaft sensor had been replaced (same thing the Milford dealership told me they did) and that the problem was resolved. Less than 10 hours after picking up my vehicle, 12 warning lights illuminated simultaneously and the car became completely inoperable. I had to cycle the ignition four times before the car would move. The engine light returned shortly after. This is a 2026 vehicle with currently 5,500 miles on it. The repeated failure to properly diagnose and repair this issue is unacceptable. Making matters worse is the complete breakdown in communication — calls go unanswered, and even my Hyundai case manager has been unable to reach anyone at this dealership for updates. I would strongly caution any potential buyer to consider this dealership’s service record or Hyundai in general before making a purchase.

We met with Mr. Serrano, the new General Manager, to explain our circumstances, and to "argue" our case. Mr. Serrano listened intently to whatever we had to say, and within an hour, had spoken to the service department and resolved everyone's concerns in a very agreeable and unexpected way. Both my husband and I left the dealership feeling that Mr. Serrano was very professional and respectful to us, and he had earned our trust. We decided to forego any more repairs on the Sonata and returned to Tasca to purchase a new Hyundai Tucson. If we had not met with Mr. Serrano, we would have had a huge repair bill, possibly no car to show for it, and would definitely have gone elsewhere to purchase a new car ... but he won our trust. We feel that Tasca Hyundai is now under the very capable watch of Mr. Serrano, and we returned there to purchase our new car. The purchasing process was a pleasure. Our salesman was very knowledgeable. Mr. Serrano greeted us with a friendly smile and handshake, and made sure that we were taken care of and happy at the end of our experience. Shockingly bad dealer. And the cars are lousy and they can't fix them when they break down. I couldn't be more disappointed with my experience with Hyundai and the Tasca dealership. My 2025 I5 had an ICCU failure with only 3,700 miles on it and when only four months old. (This is a catastrophic and terrifying failure where the car completely stops. I am now aware that this is a long-standing problem with Hyundais, that they have not been able -- or willing -- to resolve. And there is no fix. They just replace the part eventually, and you are no less likely to have it happen again.) They didn’t repair my car for well over two months. I never received a call from an owner or manager of the dealer, or my salesman (who answered a few texts, but was unapologetic and zero help). No acknowledgment of the very unfortunate situation, or reassurance that they were doing everything possible to resolve my case. When calling, I never once got through to a live person in the service department ... it always went into a generic voicemail, no matter when you call, and they seem oblivious to messages left. (One time when I got through, it was because I went to sales and, surprise, got a person immediately, who I then begged to get me through to service.) I couldn't even speak to someone about a loaner for the first week. (I was assured by Hyundai Corporate that my rental and Ubers would be paid for; then they refused to pay in full.) **Even Hyundai’s corporate office told me they weren't getting through to, or return phone calls from, this dealership.** The service rep was snarky, unprofessional, unhelpful, and even dishonest at times. The attitude from the beginning was as if they were doing me a tremendous favor. Once I didn't check in for three weeks, and still the response was hostile. I think it is fair to say it is the worst customer service I have ever received from a business. That this is what you get when a brand new, expensive car breaks down -- that they can't fix -- is shocking. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I was told by my service rep, "And if you would like you are more than welcome to pick up your vehicle if it’s taking to [sic] long." This is an unacceptable reply. I had a fully inoperable car that they couldn't fix, and then tell me I can come pick it up if I am frustrated. They are unabashed in their snark -- even willing to put it in writing. Before you buy a Hyundai, spend some time on Facebook groups connected to these cars. People are having serious problems, repair parts are not available, and the service they are receiving in response is unacceptable. And if you decide to buy one, I sincerely encourage you to choose a different dealership.

Jayson Higgins is excellent. He is very knowledgeable and informative and gives excellent advice, patient and attentive. Johnny Quezada is also excellent as a service advisor. I hit a huge pothole and had both left side tires completely destroyed and Johnny got things fixed perfectly and very timkely.

Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. My experience with Tasca Hyundai was a disaster from start to finish. I spent 6+ hours in the building (doing the salesperson's job for him while he sat on his phone), only for them to fail to ground my lease. I spent two months fighting delinquency bills for a car I didn’t even own anymore. Customer service is nonexistent; I was hung up on three times just trying to get a manager to fix their mistake. Unprofessional and disorganized.

1 Star – Avoid Evan Blinder and Tasca Hyundai Stamford/Stamford Hyundai at ALL Costs My experience with Evan Blinder at Tasca Hyundai Stamford/Stamford Hyundai was hands-down the most dishonest and unethical dealership interaction I’ve ever had. About six months before my lease was due, Evan called me with what sounded like a great offer: turn in my lease early and they would waive my excess mileage, wear and tear, and all remaining fees, provided I purchased and traded in with them. Based on that promise, I moved forward. What followed was a classic bait-and-switch. Suddenly, the dealership claimed that I did have to pay all the fees after all—and Evan insisted that the finance department “called and explained it to me” and that I agreed. I absolutely did not. Had I been told the truth upfront, I never would have gone through with the trade. To their credit, they offered compensation for the remaining lease payments—but I kept paying those payments myself throughout the remainder of the lease term. Meanwhile, they completely failed to notify Hyundai Motor Finance that they had taken my car back four months early. That “oversight” cost me: Loyalty rebates I should have been eligible for Reimbursement for excess wear and tear And left Hyundai Finance believing I still had possession of a vehicle the dealership had already taken Not notifying Hyundai Finance about taking the car back early isn’t just sloppy—it’s highly questionable and, frankly, unethical. The entire experience left me feeling misled, taken advantage of, and stuck paying for their mistakes. The worst part is the complete lack of accountability. The cars themselves are great, but the sales practices and conduct at this dealership—especially from Evan Blinder and the finance team—are absolutely not. Save yourself the headache and stress. Find a different dealership with honest people who treat customers with transparency and integrity.

Joe was a delight to work with, authoritative, patient and professional. I wish I could say the same for the dealership which is a hot mess – chaotic and unprofessional. After test driving three different cars, with Joe's help my wife and I settled on a Tuscan. What ensued can best be described as torturous, with endless delays and limp excuses. Poor business practices… I would avoid Stamford Hyundai. Even a shady used car dealer puts in more effort. The story: I initially reached out to Stamford Hyundai, because they had the exact used Infiniti I was looking for. I spoke with a sales person Evan numerous times over a 4 day period. I explained that I lived pretty far (1.5 hours away), and I needed as much info as possible on the car. Evan told me the car was in great shape, and had no excessive wear. The day prior to making the trip; he put me in touch with Kevin (sales manager) to negotiate a warranty in the price of the car. Kevin upsold the car, and explained how “aggressively priced” the vehicle was (being a one owner with a clean history). Basically a typical sales manager routine, and said that was the best he could do. I left the conversation by telling Kevin that I would take the trip the following day to look at the car, and potentially purchase on the spot. Fast forward to the following day… I drove out to CT (took me over 2 hours with traffic). A sales person pulls the car around for me to look at. I was beyond SHOCKED when I looked at the car. - The car looked like it was used for off-roading. There was dirt/mud on the inside and outside (interior being the most dirty). - The front bumper clips were out of place - The engine valves had a tapping sound (definitely more the others that I had already looked at prior). - There was a noticeable gash on the lower portion of the rear bumper The car wasn’t detailed or clean at all. ZERO effort!! It was so nasty, I wouldn’t even get in the car (wish I had taken pictures). I couldn’t believe that a professional car dealership didn’t bother to detail the car prior to listing. THEY EVEN HAVE A CARWASH DIRECTLY NEXT DOOR! To make matters even worse, the salesperson lied about how long they had the car. He said that the car was “just brought in a week prior, and they didn’t have a chance to clean after the shop finished with it”. Meanwhile, a previous sales person said they had that car for over three weeks. I spent 5 minutes (at most) looking at the car, hopped in my truck, and left. I was so frustrated that I didn’t even ask to speak with Kevin So to put into perspective.. - I drove slightly over 3.5 hours round trip, and spent 5 minutes looking at the vehicle. - The condition of the car was misrepresented. I want reimbursement for my gas, tolls, and time. I’m filing a better business bureau complaint. I even called Kevin on my way home, and he didn’t bother to call me back.

This is the second car I purchased from Stamford Hyundai. I have worked with Sales Consultant Mario Marini both times. He is friendly and personable. He understood what I was looking for and went above and beyond to accommodate me. He was transparent and never rushed us through the process. We were able to agree on a trade-in price for my 2022 Tucson as well. During the financing process, we worked with John Sullivan. He was very meticulous and transparent with the paperwork. John was also accommodating. We started the financing process later than we planned, so we had to leave by a specific time that day. He completed everything we needed to walk away and arranged to finish the rest of the paperwork on the day we were to pick up our new car. All in all, we had a great experience at Stamford Hyundai, and I would recommend going there and working with Mario and John anytime.

Today I had the best experience I’ve ever had at a service center. I bought a 2023 Elantra from this dealership back in 2022, and after spending 7 frustrating months trying to get a headlight replaced due to water infiltration, I honestly wasn’t expecting much this time around. I came in looking to get a quote for four new tires, a full brake service, and to check out a possible transmission issue. While I was speaking with someone at the parts department, Kevin (I hope I got his name right) overheard our conversation and came over to help. He offered to scan the car right away to look into the transmission issue, and we went outside to take a look. Once we got to the car, he didn’t just run the scan. He also checked my tires and brakes and told me they were still in good condition. Unless I really wanted to replace them, he said there was no need to spend the money just yet. Having worked at a dealership myself, I know how rare it is to find someone in this business who will not try to push unnecessary work. Kevin genuinely had my best interest in mind, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciated that honesty. Needless to say, I will definitely be back when the time comes, and as long as they continue to operate with this level of integrity, they have my business. Keep doing things the right way. I just recently bought an electric Kona at Stamford Hyundai and I can’t say enough about the sales consultant Gelis , that we worked with, my daughter and I were so impressed by his professionalism his honesty and his friendliness it was an absolute pleasure sitting at his desk, he’s so great. I recently was serviced here. Service representative Johnny Quezada was great! I had no scheduled appointment but woke up that day with my tire pressure critically low.
